About Us

Set at the edge of Defford Village, this modern, purpose-built, and energy-efficient hall serves the communities of Defford and Besford in Worcestershire.

It is one of the best equipped halls in the area, set in its own large grassed area and with outstanding views over Bredon Hill.  Facilities include: furnishings to seat 100 guests, fully fitted kitchen, its own disabled car parking, and use of 30+ parking spaces in the adjacent village car park.  The result is a spectacular, warm, and well maintained building suitable for many different types of events and functions.

Opened in 2011, as a replacement for the existing hall, it proved to be an instant success.  It has become a popular location for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and funeral wakes.  There are also an increasing number of one-off events such as Barn dances, fund-raising events and much more.  The hall is ideal for events from an intimate 20, to a meal sitting of 100, or an audience of 150.

Existing users moved seamlessly into the new venue and have increased their attendance.  New societies, groups and individuals are continuing to use these new facilities; booking over 90 hours of hall time each month.
